Love at First Mic
Hot Date, Hard Pass is a singles night hosted by Queenie Be of Queenie Connects, NWA’s singles social community. The format pulls from retro TV dating competitions and brings it to life on stage. One bachelor or bachelorette chats up four potential matches. No profile photos, no curated bios. Just quick wit, playful questions, and whatever chemistry happens in the moment.
How It Works
After each round of conversation, the lead contestant makes a decision, choosing one person to Hard Pass and sending them home. As the field narrows to the final two, the tension builds until one match is selected as the Hot Date.
You’re Part of the Show
The audience is built into the experience. Cheer, react, ask questions, and mingle with whoever’s sitting next to you. Whether you leave with a new date or a new friend, the energy in the room is part of what makes the night worth showing up for. After the show, the night keeps going with music, drinks, and open socializing.
Who Should Show Up
Hot Date, Hard Pass is designed with singles 35+ in mind and is open to all 21+, all sexualities, and all gender identities. Stage participants were selected from applicants ahead of the event. Showing up to watch is just as much fun, and admission is free.
