Pick Your Level, Hit the Trail

WOZ certified ride leaders will guide groups across six skill levels. Here’s how they break down:

  • Fundamentals Skills Clinic — Start here if you’ve never ridden mountain bike trails or it’s been a while. You’ll cover the basics before hitting a 2–3 mile intro trail.
  • Green — You’ve got a few dirt rides under your belt and are working on shifting, braking, and body position. Rides cover 5–7 miles.
  • Green+ — You’re tackling obstacles, bridges, and steeper climbs. Up to 8 miles or 2 hours on the trail.
  • Blue — Comfortable on single track, confident in berms, and ready for 9–12 mile rides at a quicker pace.
  • Blue+ — Technical climbs, rock gardens, and 3-hour ride capacity. 10–15 miles.
  • Black — Fast, demanding terrain with drops and jumps. 15+ miles.

A good way to know if you’re ready to advance is if you kept pace with your ride leader the whole time and felt like you could keep going. Reach out to WOZ at woznwa.com with any questions. They love talking bikes.

What to Bring

Come with a mountain bike in good working order, a helmet, and closed-toe athletic shoes. Pack water, snacks, and a flat repair kit. Sunglasses and gloves are also a smart call.

If you need a bike, two rental options are available:

  • Ari Bentonville — Use code WOZLUCKY at checkout for a free demo bike. Reserve by March 6, pick up at 10:00 AM, and return by 5:30 PM.
  • Mojo Cycles — $25 for a 12-hour rental. Call 479-271-7201 or stop by 1301 N. Walton Blvd. and mention WOZ Flagship.

Register Before You Roll

Online registration closes Saturday, March 7 at 1:45 PM CT. If you’re riding with a friend, sign up at the same level and group number. WOZ can’t make group changes after registration, so lock it in early.

WOZ is a non-profit focused on reducing barriers and getting more women on bikes across NWA. Adding $50 to your registration helps keep their Ride Leader Curriculum courses free. Annual Perks memberships are also available, a tax-deductible donation that funds free on-the-bike programming for women in the community.

If weather turns, WOZ aims to cancel at least 2 hours before the ride. Follow their Instagram for updates.
