Fayetteville’s Ramble Hosts NWA’s 30th Annual Juneteenth Celebration
Thirty years of community, culture, and history. NWA has been gathering every June to mark Juneteenth long before it became a federal holiday, and the tradition has only grown. This year, the Northwest Arkansas Juneteenth Celebration falls on the holiday itself, and the Ramble in Fayetteville is where the community comes together to honor what that day means.

Thirty Years and Still Showing Out
The University of Arkansas and the NWA Juneteenth Planning Committee put this event together each year, and this edition carries some weight. Juneteenth is a federal holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans, and NWA has been marking it as a community for longer than most people realize.
What You Can Expect on the Ramble
Your afternoon includes live music, cultural performances, children’s activities, games, and giveaways. Local vendors and community resource tables will be spread across the grounds, and free food is part of the day. The crowd that shows up for this one has been coming back year after year, and the energy on the Ramble reflects that.

Bring the Whole Crew
Head to the Upper Ramble between Dickson and Center Street and make a day of it. You do not need to register or buy tickets — just show up. For the latest updates, follow the Facebook event page of NWA Juneteenth Celebration.
