What to Expect on the Trail
This hike takes you through the Ozarks with goats leading the way, complete with packs and saddles strapped to their backs. You’ll catch scenic views while your four-legged guides keep you entertained with their antics. Along the trail, guides share insights about local plants, wildlife, and the natural history of the area. After working on the trail, head to Sassafras Springs Vineyard & Winery to sample their wines and hang out with your fellow hikers.
Why This Works
Most hikes involve showing up, walking, and heading home. This one adds goats that turn a standard trail into something unexpected. The combo of outdoor exploration and wine tasting gives you two experiences in one outing, which works for anyone looking to do something different on a weekend.
