The adventure starts as the train departs and takes you through the Boston Mountains, rolling over three valley trestles and through the 1,700-foot Winslow tunnel. For three hours, you’ll watch fall colors cover the landscape as the scenery shifts from dense forest to open valleys.

After the train ride, the group heads to Devil’s Den State Park for the Yellow Rock Overlook hike. The 2.7-mile loop is easy to moderate and wraps up at an overlook of the Lee Creek Valley, just in time for the afternoon lights. The trail offers a different experience than the train, letting you get up close to the foliage and enjoy the refreshing fall air.

Don’t forget to bring your hiking shoes, layers, and a camera for some awesome snaps.

Push yourself to explore a fall adventure you can feel in every step. Reserve your spot now and experience autumn from the rails and the trails. See you there!
