Springdale’s Freedom Festival Returns to Luther George Park with Live Music and Juneteenth Celebration
Downtown Springdale has its own Juneteenth tradition, and it keeps getting bigger. Music Moves is bringing the Freedom Festival back to Luther George Park for its sixth year, and June 20th is the kind of day worth clearing your schedule for.

The Lineup Speaks for Itself
The main stage runs seven hours and features Hurricane Chris, Rose Royce, Oh Boy Prince, and Soufside of the GS Boyz. That’s a lineup with range, spanning ’90s R&B to regional artists, which means the crowd is going to be just as mixed as the music.

The Festival Floor Has Its Own Pull
The festival floor has its own pull. A vendor market spotlights local entrepreneurs and small businesses, a kids zone keeps the younger crowd covered with games and activities, and a live fashion show adds something you won’t find at your average outdoor event. Giveaways run throughout the day as well.

Over 4,300 people came out last year.

Who’s Behind It
The Freedom Festival is presented by Music Moves in partnership with The Community Cohesion Project, with support from the Walton Family Foundation and Tyson Family Foundation. It’s one of the largest Juneteenth commemorations in Arkansas, and it’s been running in Springdale for six years straight.
