Explore Art & Nature at Artosphere Across NWA (May 1-18)

It’s May 1st, and you know what that means, Northwest Arkansas! Artosphere is officially underway, bringing that awesome blend of art happenings and outdoor appreciation all across the area from today right through May 18th. Put on by the folks at Walton Arts Center, this festival is all about celebrating creativity inspired by the natural beauty right here in our backyard.

What Makes It Awesome This Year?

Artosphere packs a punch with tons of cool stuff happening, and the best part? A lot of it is free or really affordable. They’re showcasing artists who find inspiration outdoors, setting up unique performances, workshops, and activities everywhere from Fayetteville trails to Rogers parks. Expect a fantastic mix that connects you with nature in some seriously creative ways. It’s a great setup for enjoying the gorgeous spring weather.

Music, Art, Outdoors & More – Here’s a Peek:

So, what should you absolutely check out? Fan favorites like Trail Mix (May 9th on the Ramble) are back, putting live music right on the trails while you hike or bike. You’ll also find Tunes on the Trails popping up.

Need more? How about the Community Creative Center Pottery Festival (May 2-3) or the Square to Square Bicycle Ride (May 3rd)? That same day, May 3rd, also offers Cocktails in the Garden and live music from the Cate Brothers/Nace Brothers at Railyard Live in Rogers.

Plenty of music fills the air: Trout Fishing in America at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks (May 6th), SoNA performs a Chapel Concert at Hunt Chapel (May 8th), Candy Lee plays Music on the Glade at FPL (May 11th), March to August has a Chapel Concert at Cooper Chapel (May 13th), and there’s even Jazz on the Mountain (May 15th). Plus, catch the acclaimed Dover Quartet with Edgar Meyer (May 17th).

For something different, there’s outdoor Yoga sessions (May 5th & 15th), the super neat-looking interactive Polyglot Theatre’s Bees for families at FPL (May 14-16) – looks awesome for families. Plus, you can catch Nimbus Dance (May 9th), do a Recycled Workshop with Shannon Green at FPL (May 10th), enjoy some Taking Flight woodwind music and bird watching (May 16th), hit up Family Arts in the Park in Springdale (May 17th), see the NWA Youth Artist Showcase at Railyard Live (May 17th), and hear the acclaimed Dover Quartet with Edgar Meyer (also May 17th). Whew! It all wraps up with the Strawberry Festival on the Fayetteville Square on May 18th.

Seriously, something for everyone.
