Camp Drake Puts Fayetteville Kids in the Pilot’s Seat
If your kid dreams in airplanes, Camp Drake at the Arkansas Air and Military Museum hands them the controls for a few days this summer. It is three days of aircraft, engineering, and hands-on flying, tucked right into a Fayetteville hangar.

What Your Camper Gets Into
Your kid flies in an actual aircraft, designs one of their own, and tours Drake Tower to see how the museum’s namesake airfield runs day to day. A flight simulator puts them behind the controls, and military drills close out the schedule with a dose of teamwork and discipline.
Who Can Join
Camp Drake is built for kids ages 8 to 12. You’ll pay $200 plus a $5 service fee as a museum member, or $250 plus a $6.25 fee if you’re not. Either ticket covers all three days.
Worth Knowing
You’ll get a detailed schedule by email the Friday before your session, so you know what your camper is doing before they even walk in.
