Climb Bentonville

When you can’t take a trip to the Ozark mountains due to weather, you and your family can still enjoy climbing. Bentonville Climb is meant for anyone who wants to try climbing, from beginners to experienced climbers. More than just climbing — Climb also offers yoga and a fitness facility.

Let’s Imagine Playground

Let’s Imagine is an indoor playground for younger children, including babies and toddlers. Kids can climb up walls or crawl around through tunnels in a safe environment that’s designed for their age group. Little ones who want to sit for a bit after running around can get creative while playing with blocks. Daily admission is free for babies under 6 months old and adults. For kids ages 6 months and up, there’s an $8 charge. Monthly memberships and play passes are also available.

Great Day Skate Place

If it’s too cold for skating outdoors, bring your roller skates to Great Day Skate Place instead. Your entire family can enjoy skating to your favorite tunes while staying warm and dry. If you don’t have your own skates, you and your family can always rent a pair there for a small fee. Games are also available for some extra fun. Individual admission for all skating sessions is $7 plus a rental fee of $3. For a good deal, plan to go on Mondays when a family of six or less can skate for $20.

Scott Family Amazeum

Kids and adults alike can learn while having fun at the Scott Family Amazeum, which has around 50,000 square feet of learning spaces and interactive exhibits. These spaces and exhibits teach about Arkansas’ land, culture and industries. Kids can play in the Hershey’s Lab and Nickelodeon Play Lab, and visit other exhibits to learn more about math, engineering and more. For adults and kids ages 2 and up, admission is $10. Kids under 2 and museum members can get in for free. The museum also holds special events from time to time, giving families more opportunities to play and learn.

DEFY

DEFY, formerly known as High Rise Extreme Airsports, gives you and your family some exciting activities to try. Angled trampolines, battle beams, warped walls and foam pits are just a few of the activities available for a thrilling time. The whole family can also try out the aerial silks, ninja obstacle course and trapeze. Show up for Kidjump, and you and any of your kids who are under 6 can jump for free. Otherwise, prices vary based on how long you plan to be there and when you go. Memberships and deals are available as well.

Ozark Axe House

Looking to try a new adventure? This might fit the bill for most of our readers. The Ozark Axe House provides a fun, safe environment for axe throwing. If you find you really enjoy it, you can even join an exe throwing league! They will accommodate groups of 2 to 10 in size, so bring your best buddy, or make it a work outing. It’s a BYOB establishment, so don’t forget to bring that too. 😉

When you want a different kind of game night for the family, head over to Dave and Buster’s. You’ll find a game room packed with video games of all kinds, including some classic arcade games. Dave and Buster’s has games available for adults and kids of all ages, as well as bowling, billiards and virtual reality where you can don a VR headset and enter a fictional world filled with adventure. Bumper cars, an indoor roller coaster and virtual reality attraction are also available at Fast Lane Entertainment. Kids can have even more fun on the huge play structure with slides, tunnels and other features. Ticket prices vary depending on when you go and which activities you want to do, but keep an eye out for daily specials.

The Jones Center

The Jones Center is the perfect spot for the whole family when everyone needs to burn off some energy. Adults and kids can glide across the ice in the ice skating arena, go for a swim in indoor pools or play some pickleball. Day pass prices are available for different activities, but head over on the second Sunday of each month, known as Funday Sunday, and you can choose one activity to do for free. Ozark Climbing Gym has a bouldering setup for an indoor rock climbing experience rather than climbing with ropes. Day passes with all day access are available for adults for $12 and students or military members for $10.80. You and your family can still experience nature without having to go outside in cold or rainy weather. This indoor nature center provides a great way for kids and adults to learn more about local wildlife through live exhibits and high-tech, interactive exhibits. When the weather is milder, you and your family can explore the trails and hang out in the outdoor pavilions enjoying the sights and sounds of nature. There’s no charge for admission to the indoor nature center or outdoor areas.

Fayetteville

Lokomotion Family Fun Park

Lokomotion Family Fun Park provides a place for families to enjoy some friendly competition. Split into teams or let everyone fend for themselves in a game of laser tag. Fill a game card, and head to the arcade to unwind with some video games afterwards. When the weather’s nice, Lokomotion has plenty to offer outdoors as well, including bumper boats, bumper cars, go karts and miniature golf. Prices for the park vary based on the attractions you want to use, although there are some deals available.

Modern Mission

Modern Mission lets you and your family work together as a team or split into different teams for a challenging but fun game of indoor laser tag. Kids ages 7 and up are allowed to participate in these games, which take place on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Keep in mind that these are open sessions, so you’ll have other people joining your team or teams as well. Pay a set price per player for 60 minutes of excitement and suspense while you try to target the other team without becoming a target yourself.
