Mini Ponies, Chalk, and Flash Ink on the North Lawn

Head outside to the North Lawn near Quartz & Honey, where three things run all day:

  • Mini Pony Live Drawing with Equestrian Bridges: Grab a pencil and sketch your new favorite model. No neigh-sayers allowed.
  • Community Chalk Mural with Craig Vough: The artist leads a giant mural, and you can add your own marks to it any time.
  • Voyage Ink Mobile Tattoo Shop: Allen of Voyage Ink parks a tattoo shop on wheels on the lawn, with art-inspired flash and temporary tattoos.

Inside: DJ Girlfriend, a Clay Wheel, and Paintings That Talk Back

TheatreSquared brings iconic gallery artworks to life with interactive theatrical performances from 1 to 4 p.m. They roam the galleries, so keep your eyes peeled, and yes, you can join in. The rest of the indoor schedule is staggered through the day:

  • Scavenger Hunt: Starts in the Main Lobby and runs all day, with fun prizes up for grabs.
  • Birthday Totes and Cards: Customize your own in HUB Studio D/E from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Walk-in Wheel: Get your hands muddy at the brand-new Clay Studio from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • DJ Girlfriend: Spinning in the Main Lobby from noon to 4 p.m. Dance the day away.
  • Digital Studio: Open from 2 to 4 p.m.

Plan Your Party Route

Clay is your thing? Go early, because the wheel shuts down at 2 p.m. The good news is that the Digital Studio opens at that same hour, so you can wash the mud off and walk straight into the next thing without a gap.

Got a kid who can’t sit still? Five hours, a mini pony, and a scavenger hunt with prizes should do the trick.

See you there, NWA.
